The IPP offers comprehensive scientific training, promoting interdisciplinarity, collaborative learning, individual and group creativity. From the interviews, I realized that finally my insistence to wait for it, for a year and a half since I graduated from the Pedagogical department to be announced again, was more than worth it! Regarding the cognitive part, in a few months I think that I have gained a lot of knowledge through the modules that slowly introduce us to the concepts of Social Pedagogy, Social Informatics, Social Neuroscience, but also to their Methodological and Research Issues. We undertake work in the course, in order to better understand, to deepen what we are learning new, to think critically about them and to work together to achieve our goal each time. Certainly, our involvement with all this requires effort, enough time and personal will and search. But the benefits are many for all of us! I really feel lucky to be a member of this team and have embarked on this journey in our postgraduate course!

The Interdepartmental MSc in Social Pedagogy, Social Neuroscience and Education is an innovation of the Pedagogical Department, the Medical School and the Department of Biology of NKUA, interdisciplinary connecting the Sciences of Education with Neuroscience.
Three faculties of NKUA are united in an organized effort to provide a high level of education and training to postgraduate students who wish to specialize sufficiently to understand the research results of Social Neuroscience and to use them in the design, organization and development of educational programs.
It is a high-quality postgraduate course that meets the high specialization it offers to the scientists, teachers and non-educators, of the future.

I am a postgraduate student of the MSc "Social Neuroscience, Social Pedagogy and Education". From the first moment of my studies in this postgraduate course, they made me feel like I am a Social Educator. This brings honour and pride, and on the other hand is accompanied by responsibility and commitment, first towards yourself and then towards others. In this journey, which one would usually describe as lonely, you always have colleagues, teachers, friends next to you and paths full of positive emotions, choices and life opportunities spread around you. What I want to point out, of course is, that there is no thorn less roses, so the postgraduate course is not always an easy process, but it is necessary if we want to change the world and improve as human beings.

This is not a simple postgraduate course, but a postgraduate course with a high level of studies, with international standards, such as corresponding postgraduate programs of the most prestigious universities in the world!
As for the period of confinement due to coronavirus, the professors immediately adapted to the new unpredictable condition, the students as well and the creativity, the experiential learning and the systematic training were not lost, despite the presence of the screen, and everyone's enthusiasm and production of new knowledge did not decrease, despite the distance.

I consider the IPP "Social Neuroscience, Social Pedagogy and Education" to be vital for the education of the scientists of the future, who need to be able to overcome the traditional barriers between disciplines, something that is required by the course of scientific research in the 21st century.
We now understand that social as well as educational problems are very complex and multifaceted, as a result we cannot approach them as isolated scientists, one-dimensionally. Thus, the emphasis on teamwork and interdisciplinarity by the entire teaching staff of the IPP cultivates in students the necessary spirit and offers the scientific skills, so we can comprehensively and substantially understand the social and educational issues and then be able to plan and intervene to improve and change them.

I started it. My excitement is great. Because the lessons we do are so interesting. The professors are so kind and receptive. So enthusiastic. Excellent connoisseurs of the subject they teach us. They guide you; they inspire you; they wake you up, they make you dream, you feel grateful for all this. They become our mentors. So how is it possible that I do not draw more strength? And my classmates, all carefully selected, one by one. An unique experience of creativity and interaction. No, I do not embellish them, no I do not exaggerate. I have no reason to. I live in a dream. I share it, without withholding anything.
The experience of our studies in the postgraduate course "Social Neuroscience, Social Pedagogy & Education" I believe will remain indelible. In any case, we are building on a solid foundation not only our professional career, but also our own life.

Starting this postgraduate course, I realized that we are many other travellers and we just all found our common path. So, we gradually learned to observe and not to look at the problems but to act and not just to move along…
We became a pedagogical team with a goal, ground-breaking thinking and a social outlook. Beyond any formal attendance limit of a postgraduate course, it soon became apparent that many of us had forgotten the formulas and were just traveling.
We have learned to feel where, when and how we will offer with individual and collective responsibility.
Most of all, however, we found that we are not alone in our educational journeys. We interact by building the "we" on the trajectory of our shared experience. Thus the "self" no longer exists but only the collective "self".

In this postgraduate course, knowledge is not "transmitted", but "discovered". Everything that is studied in the course, has been given as a topic or question or stimulus previously to the students and we have done bibliographic research on various scientific issues that concern the research and the scientific community, which we present in each course and on that, the teaching process is organised accordingly. We also work as a team and experientially. Thus, we are given the opportunity to communicate our ideas through dialogue and shared experience, to get to know each other on a scientific and human level, to build knowledge and to learn from each other. Finally, not every process is evaluated quantifiably, but there is feedback to correct any weaknesses and ambiguities that have been observed.

It opens a wide field of knowledge and interests to us. A combination of theories, science, and practices aimed at providing a higher level of knowledge and unique experiences.
I mean that even under the adverse conditions of long-distance education, which was not planned, it turned out that the quality of the program did not show any decline. Despite the difficulty of the course, the participants have created a very close-knit team and the collaboration between us, combined with the interesting lectures, are what motivate you and make you want to become a better student, a better scientist, a better professional and a better person.

I feel satisfied, because I am a member of a dynamic team consisting of remarkable colleagues, with whom we envision social change on multiple levels. We collaborate, reflect, contemplate and seek the co-creation of knowledge through theory and practice.
Our mentors are our scientifically trained "teachers", with whom we are "companions" on the path to knowledge. The organization of the program is perfect, even though it takes place under special conditions due to the pandemic. It is also worth noting that we are given the opportunity to approach other disciplines that are interdisciplinarily related to Social Pedagogy, such as Neuroscience and Social Informatics.

In this case, the term "demanding" is not being used in a negative way. Perhaps it would be more tempting to use the English term "challenging" in the sense of "challenge". A challenge for anyone interested in becoming a member of a team that seeks in a scientific way to contribute to the "change they want to see in this world". Because beyond the acquisition of theoretical and scientific knowledge, what I can guarantee is that through this process each one of us will become a "better person".

The IPP "Social Pedagogy, Social Neuroscience and Education", as I experience it through the point of view of the teacher, is a postgraduate course that provides you with a wide range of knowledge and information based on Social Pedagogy and Neuroscience, through the systematic guidance of the professors and mainly through exploratory and collaborative learning. Emphasis is placed on experiential learning, team search and work and the result produced is often above the expectations of each of us. Through group involvement, emotional, social and cognitive development is one way. Also, the feedback we receive from all the professors is immediate and very targeted, as a result we all become better and improve.
Of course, this is a postgraduate course that requires the active participation and responsible commitment of all participants, but after its completion I am sure that we will only feel proud of the achievement. It is certain, however, that through this master's degree the maximum possible effort is made to equip us with the appropriate knowledge and skills in order to become worthy and complete Social Educators - very good Researchers and Scientists.

The MSc "Social Neuroscience, Social Pedagogy and Education" is a postgraduate course, which connects the Sciences of Education with Neuroscience, providing us with the necessary supplies to meet the new and ever-changing educational and social conditions as social educators. Social Pedagogy itself, in fact, is a science whose actions aim at improving the living conditions of each individual and throughout it, while they can be developed in the context of formal, informal and non-formal education.
Through our individual work, we broaden our horizons on this subject, while through our group work, we promote our cooperation with other members of a team, which is an essential element in the daily life of an individual for survival in a society. Also, our creativity is cultivated and expressed as much as possible.
Finally, the professors are willing to help in any situation that may arise and from the first moment of starting the course, they give you the feeling that they believe in the possibilities of each postgraduate student and do their best to contribute to further our evolution.

Despite the unfavourable conditions due to the pandemic, the lessons were held normally and kept the interest of all of us undiminished. We have all become a team, like a fist. At the same time, the postgraduate course gives special emphasis on our self-improvement, on the responsibility we have as Social Educators, as scientists, as researchers and guidelines are provided with attention and support at every step. The evaluation does not come only at the end of the semester, but feedback takes place after some work, which is very helpful for our metacognition, the correction of our weaknesses, the re-understanding of concepts and our general development. Personally, I missed this crucial stage for our course during my undergraduate years. Now I enjoy it a lot and because it is important to know which path we are on, but also because the feedback is done with encouragement for our abilities, with clarity regarding our failures and with true and substantial support to each of us.
It is indisputable that what we will be called to do in the future as Social Educators in the postgraduate course, we experience it from the point of view of the recipients of Social Pedagogy, but also from the point of view of our action as Social Educators. We experience it and transform it into practice!

This D.P.MS. acts as a constant "compass" for its students on the journey in search of their research identity. The Curriculum, although requiring dedication and commitment, offers a variety of stimuli, which are a source of inspiration and further exploration. After all, for all of us the common vision and the biggest challenge is through cooperation to become a better version of ourselves, thus contributing to social change, which is at the heart of every socio-pedagogical effort.

Social disorganization due to the health, social and economic crisis makes it necessary to train educators in crisis management and social problems.

This postgraduate course is demanding, in all its aspects, because it combines theory and practice with substantial education and training. Most modules require a lot of work and assignments. On the one hand, there is a lot of work, but on the other hand, this way is so efficient that by participating in the postgraduate course for only a few months, I feel that I have gained a lot!
Of course, I should note that the level of studies is equivalent to the Universities abroad, as I experienced it in my Erasmus studies!
