Special Teaching Staff at the Department of Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece

Graduate of School of Physical Education and Sport Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (N.K.U.A.); PhD in pedagogy from the Department of Philosophy Psychology and Pedagogy (N.K.U.A.). Two-year postgraduate Studies in Orff-Schulwerk in Moraitis School (1992-1994). Degree in music harmony, free studies in dance, music and theatrein Greece and in Austria. Three-year training program in dance therapy.  Practice during the program with addicted adults and adults with mental retardation (GADT, 2001-2004). Four year studies systemic theory and epistemology (A.I.A., 2009-2013). 

Work as a dance teacher in cultural exchange summer courses of the Open German Universities of Dortmund and Bochum. Educator in adults’ education programs in Greece since 1996 and in abroad since 2012. P.E. teacher in public primary education (1998-2017), teaching in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science (2003-2007). Educator in professional Orff-Schulwerk studies (Moraitis School 2006-2016), external collaborator at European University Cyprus and teaching in its postgraduate program of music pedagogy (2014-2016). Collaborations with artistic bodies and organizations as a dancer, choreographer, musician in many productions or activism initiatives (1995-2019).

Author of a monograph, chapters in eleven collective editions in Greece and abroad.  Co-author in Greek school textbooks for Physical Education in elementary school. Publications in academic journals and conference proceedings. She has been invited as a keynote speaker at four conferences with international participation in Austria, Turkey and Greece and has presented her researches has offered workshops at many other conferences in Greece and abroad.

Since 2017, she serves as Special Teaching Staff in the Department of Early Childhood Education of NKUA (School of Education, N.K.U.A.) and teaches in three postgraduate programs in N.K.U.A. (Social Neuroscience and Social Pedagogy), in University of Macedonia (music and society /community music) and Democritus University of Thrace (Sport Tourism, Event Management, Dance). She is Honorary President of the Hellenic Orff-Schulwerk Association (2016) and since 2008 accredited representative of the association to the International Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg. She is a member of the board of directors of the Network of Children’s Rights (2022).
Her scientific and research interests are focused on the arts of dance and music as means of social cohesion and peaceful coexistence and as a way to personal and citizenship growth and ecological awareness.
