Artemis Giotsa is Full Professor in Social Psychology at University of Ioannina in Greece. She has participated and conducted many national and cross-cultural projects in the field of Social Psychology and the application of systems theory in different contexts (family, schools, community). For 11 years she was the Scientific Coordinator of the Program “Parents Schools” in Greece supported by the Ministry of Education focused on lifelong learning of adults. She has adapted in Greece the Program ACT/Adults and Children Together Against Violence created by American Psychological Association (APA). She is trainer and supervisor in field of the Systemic psychotherapy in Europe,  and she is licensed Psychologist in Greece and Switzerland and holder of the Europsy Certificate. She is the author of 5 books, editor of 15 books and she has published more than 100 articles and book chapters. She has participated with over 120 oral presentations in many international and national conferences. She is also the author of a psychometric scale on Family Roles with cross-cultural validity published by the Cambridge University Press and awarded by the 2007 Ursula Gielen Global Psychology Book Award of the International Psychology Division (52) of the American Psychological Association and been awarded by the Untested Ideas  Outstanding Book Editor Award 2014. She is reviewer in many scientific journals and scientific Expert in the European Commission. She represents the Greek Psychological Society in the European Federation of Psychological Association as member of the Board of Ethics and the Board of Human Rights. She is also the founder and the director of the Human Rights and Interpersonal Relationships Laboratory at the University of Ioannina. She has been elected as Head of the Research Ethics Committee at the University of Ioannina (2019-today) and served as the President of the International Society of Interpersonal Acceptance Rejection (ISIPAR) (2018-2020).
